Carlingford Speech & Language Centre
The Carlingford Speech and Language Centre has been established for over 25 years. The practice prides itself on providing quality speech pathology services to toddlers, pre-schoolers, school aged and high school aged children.
You do not need a referral to see a Speech Pathologist. We are registered NDIS providers and your GP will let you know if you are eligible for Medicare rebates such as the Chronic Disease Management Plan.


Katherine Lawrence
Speech Pathologist - BAppSc (Speech Pathology) - Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP)
Katherine is the principal Speech Pathologist with a range of experience in assessing and treating communication difficulties. She previously worked as a Senior Speech Pathologist as part of the Child and Family Health Team for Western Sydney Health before establishing her private practice in 1995.
Katherine has a wide range of experience including assessment and treatment of early language delays, speech sound disorders, language difficulties, literacy, and social language. She enjoys working with a variety of age groups from toddlers, pre-schoolers, primary school students to high school students.
Katherine has a long-standing relationship with many local primary schools where she can provide therapy within the school during school hours. She enjoys liaising closely with teachers at these schools . Katherine also treats many students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delays within both the support units and in mainstream classes .

Melissa Richley
Speech Pathologist – BSpHSc (Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences) and MspPath ( Master of Speech Pathology) - Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
Melissa completed her Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and Master of Speech and Language Pathology at Macquarie University. She is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia and continually undertakes professional development to keep up to date with evidence-based practice. Melissa has diverse experience in a range of clinical settings, including in-clinic, telehealth, schools, and preschools.
Melissa loves working with all clients and has a particular clinical interest in speech sound delays/disorders and the development of literacy skills. She is passionate about delivering systematic synthetic phonics-based literacy support and literacy programs such as “Sounds-Write”.
